Small Frye

Yesterday was rather uneventful. I scrambled to finish my lab which really didn't take that long. Around 3:15 p.m. it was all printed off and ready to go. Seeing as my lab was at 7, I decided to make an extremely early dinner. I made fried chicken using panko bread crumbs with coleslaw and corn. It wasn't bad for a rushed sort of thrown together kind of meal. As I ate my meal in my room while listening to some gLee cover songs, one of my housemates passed by my door and paused there for what seemed like an extraordinary amount of time. It began to creep me out and it definitely didn't help when he walked into my room and asked what I was listening to. I gave him a nondescriptive answer hoping he'd get the message and leave. Alas, that was not that case as he marched further into my room and walked straight to my iPhone checking the screen. Luckily, the screen was stuck on the text I had recently sent Lapin. He marched out of my room as I pondered what had just happened.

Around 6:00 I headed to school to start my lab with Lapin, hopeful that the pipette fail wouldn't alter our results too much. Overall, the lab went well with MINIMAL back talk from the TA's. Sadly, there was one instance of fail as Lapin had placed the water proof membrane filter on the wrong side causing the chamber to fill with water. Hopefully all will turn out well as I go in to count the colonies tomorrow without Lapin who apparently has "class."

We ended up finishing the lab early, as usual, and I headed home to attempt to finish studying for my Psychology midterm I had today. I was a little distracted and ended up working on some side projects. I finished studying by 1:00 and then went to bed hoping to wake up early to do some review. Sadly, I slept past two of my alarms, 6:00 and 7:00, waking up at 7:45 a.m. I got ready for school and quickly read up on the slides that the professor provided. I got to school on time after missing one bus, walking a bit down the street only to miss another. I arrived in class, ready to write my midterm. Overall, the midterm was not bad, but I suspect I'm getting a mark near 80%. I suppose it's relatively good for the amount of studying I had done.

I now sit in my Microbiology class writing this blog waiting to head out to lunch with Lapin before we head to the gym. I'm currently craving fries so we'll be headed to The Grill.

I suppose my binge of salty satisfaction will be countered by my workout.
