BUS-ted

As you may have known, I wasn't in a particularly good mood last week. It could have been due to the weather, but nonetheless, I knew how to deal with it; to go home. Last weekend, I went back to my home town to hang out with my friends and to get my hair cut as it's grown a little long. I left Thursday afternoon because of my poor mood only to end up waiting in a huge downpour for a bus that never came. While waiting at the station, I had the urge to just walk in the huge downpour. I'm not sure what caused this, but it seemed like a good idea. Using my better judgment, I didn't run out to get soaked and possibly become sick ruining my weekend. The people at the station were becoming irritable as the bus was already half an hour late, so they sent another bus to get us to Toronto. I got a seat near the middle of the bus and popped in my ear buds. Drowned in my own world, I stared out the window pondering life away.

Once in Toronto, I headed over to Union Station to take the Go Bus back. I bought a ticket using the machines and waited for the bus at platform 47, the platform I caught the Go last. An hour later, I realized that none of the buses were arriving there that led back home, but were all expresses to Hamilton. I was extremely hungry at this point because I had only had a bagel all day. I decided to purchase some candy from the store, gobbling it down while staring at the bus schedule screen. I noticed that the Go Bus headed to my town was arriving at platform 26. Of course, I had no clue where this platform was. I was completely oblivious to the other side of Union. After ten minutes, I decided to explore, heading over to the subway portion. I saw signs pointing me towards the correct platform. Sadly, by the time I reached it, the bus had left and I would have to wait another half hour. Starved, I headed back to the subway portion and purchased a Big Mac meal from McDonalds. I scarfed it down while some strangers watched me. I pretended not to notice. Finally, the schedule popped up. The bus going to my town was going to arrive at PLATFORM 47. How ironic is that the platform I waited at for roughly an hour and a half was the one I had to sit at in order to get home. I got onto the Go bus and headed home.
