Yesterday was boys night out. My best bud, C, came up to visit as his parents had some business to attend to in Kitchener. Seeing as my whole house, Jolin, MegaCreep, GreenGiant, and PadFeet, were all present, we decided to head out for wings. We took a ride over to Weber and went into the Wild Wings there only to be overwhelmed with stares from a population of mostly Caucasians. Jolin cleverly stated that this must be the place they were all hiding. Once we were seated, we all checked the menu planning on what we should get. The waitress came over quicker than expected and took our drink orders. C, GreenGiant, and I all got MGD's while the other guys got water. What party poopers. Anyway, we settled on getting the cowboy, 100 wings and a max of four flavours. We quickly chimed in about which flavour we wanted and after a good ten minutes of debating, we settled on our choices: Smokey Gar Par, Texan Honey, Who's Your Daddy, and Bue Moonshine. The wings came out and we dug in. The wings, for the most part, were REALLY good. Padfeet and I were a little disappointed that the Who's Your Daddy wasn't spicy enough for our liking. It seemed a lot of the Frank's Extra Hot missed the wings and landed onto nothing. GreenGiant was thankful though as he liked the sweet taste of Teriyaki that accompanied it. At the end of our meal, we were left with 16 wings leading us to play the counting game. We could each count three consecutive numbers and whoever was left with the number 31 would have to eat a wing. The usual pattern ensued of placing all the wings onto one person. Sadly, threats of puking stopped this fun. We all finished the wings and left overly stuffed.
After dinner, we went back to play some Catan. C took GreenGiant's place, but the usual pattern took shape. Sadly, Jolin had some kind of Catan hate against me as I was stolen from 8 times by him that game. A new record. C ended up winning by default as he had to lead and it seemed as though he would win from the current board. C's parents came in to say hi and to check out the place that tidied earlier that day. Sadly, by the time they came, it seemed like it was in a state of ruin. It was good to see familiar faces and I hope to visit my home town soon.
In the meantime, I think another round of wings is in order. I'll start.
1, 2, 3...
