Pudding Up With Dinner

Friday evening, Lapin finally got up the nerve, and the time, to cook dinner for me. During the years we've known each other, it seems I would be the one always cooking for friends to come over; not that I minded it. I went over to her place around 7:00 bringing my sesame oil as she was out. I think I looked weird walking down the street with a bottle of brown liquid inside.Either way, I reached her house a little while later and entered. She had basically done most of the cooking beforehand which made me a little sad as I wanted to observe her cooking skills. Either way, she whipped up the last minute touches and voila, shanghai noodles with chicken and bak choi. It was surprisingly good for her level and what was even more amazing was her baking. For dessert, a blueberry pound cake of sorts. I was delightfully surprised that her threats of me having to use peptol bismol after dinner did not come true.
Both Lapin and I had made arrangements to meet up with some friends for bubble tea to catch up. We all arrived a little later than expected, but we ready to order when there. I decided to try their new caramel pudding bubble tea as it looked intriguing in the picture and even more so in concept. I plunged my straw into the drink and took a big swig only to be disappointed. The drink was not very special nor very good. The jelly bits that were supposed to be the pudding ended up skewing the bubble tea flavour that was hardly caramel or pudding. I ended up finished the drink as it was a small size, regretting my choice throughout.

Lapin left a little early to play some poker, but I decided to stay back and chat a while longer. We all left around 11:00 and I ended up catching the bus soon after. I began texting on the bus having nothing else to do all the while planning on what to cook for Lapin.

This meal might get interesting, so bring the pink.
