Glowing Pink Balls

Saturday had finally come. My parents decided to make Hot Pot for dinner as I hadn't had it in a long while. We busted out our old gas burner and heated up the broth my father had purchased for this special dinner. We began boiling some meat and seafood in the broth our mouths watering. I mixed together a sauce consisting of soy sauce, sesame oil, chinese BBQ sauce, and sirachi chili sauce which I would use to dunk the thinly sliced meats. The hot pot was especially delicious seeing as the broth was well made. After stuffing myself silly for the third or fourth time that week, I texted my friends seeing if they wanted to go bowling as we had arranged earlier that week. They agreed and I drove to pick them up.

We drove to World Bowl, getting a little lost along the way, and ordered a lane for an hour. We were stuck beside a group of very enthusiastic middle aged Asian people and a young, like our age, Italian couple. We entered our names into the machine, but only the first letter of each seeing as we were sure to embarrass ourselves. Sadly, I had forgotten to wear white as they had fluorescent lights which causes light colours to glow blue in colour. At any rate, I was first to bowl choosing a pink bowling ball as my weapon. I flicked, yes flicked, the ball down the lane getting a perfect gutter ball in the process. I could tell at that point it would not be a good match. My friends followed suit receiving low scores as well leading all of us to score under 100. The next games improved, at least for me, and I ended up scoring 125 getting some strikes in the process on the last and final game. Not bad for a rusty chum like me. Then it was time to roll on home after debates of whether to head over to Destiny's again.
